My Approach
Adaptive: My commitment is to meet you where you are in each session, and adapt the work to your interests and goals, whether we work together for one session, ten, or many more.
Aware: Each of us are shaped by the cultures and systems we live in, and by how we feel about ourselves as we navigate these waters. My commitment is to continue deepening in my own awareness of myself and our world, so that I can better get to know and support you.
Collaborative: In Rolfing, change doesn’t happen to you — we work together to create change. My commitment is to support you in paying attention to and saying what works for you.
Integrative: My commitment is to support you in a holistic, integrated process of change. As changes happen in the physical body, we have the option to get curious about how this impacts how you relate to ourselves and others. We can bring in tools from Rolfing Movement Integration and Somatics to support this integration process.
Trauma-Informed: Too many, if not most, of us carry the imprint of specific and/or ongoing experiences of trauma and oppression in our somas. My commitment is to work with you to stay within your window of tolerance and support your system in finding boundary, safety, and stability when needed.
Joyful: Healing is most integrated when it is full of curiosity, play, and joy. My commitment is to engage with you in the process of discovering your body’s wisdom while trusting in your inherent wholeness and capacity for joy.
Transformational: Rolfing aims for lasting change. My commitment is to work with you to find the possibilities for change that are available now and that you will be able to integrate and then rely on in the months and years to come.
