Jen Wenz, MDiv, Certified Rolfer is passionate about supporting others to embody their inherent freedom, integrity, and joy, all in service of building the just and abundant world we know is possible. She offers bodywork as a path of practice and transformation, and is honored to receive the wisdom that comes through apprenticing to this craft.

Jen completed their formal training in Rolfing© Structural Integration in 2022. They also bring over a decade of personal experience in generative somatics, Ashtanga yoga, Jewish contemplative, Soto Zen Buddhist, Somatic Experiencing, and Internal Family Systems practices that shaped their formation in mindfulness, meditation, and trauma-attuned embodiment. They hold a Masters in Divinity from Harvard Divinity School and a BA in Religion from Bowdoin College, and are a member of the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute and the International Association of Structural Integrators.

Outside of Rolfing, Jen volunteers as a community organizer, supporting a network of grassroots organizers working on climate justice, democracy, immigration, racial justice/reparations, and Israel/Palestine. They are also a ritual facilitator, collaborating with others to weave land-based, liberatory ritual spaces.

In her free time, Jen loves to hike, trail run, xc ski, bike, do yoga, and create ritual; dance, sing, and gather in community with her wife and family; and connect with their blood and spiritual ancestors: simple church Brethren, Ashkenazi Jews, the trees and rivers of northern New England, the rocky coast of midcoast Maine, the shores of the Great Lakes, and the cornfields of southwest Ohio.

“Rolfing does not ‘cure’ symptoms. The goal of Rolfing is a more resilient, higher-energy system. The organism is then better able to defend itself against illness and overcome stress, and the greater energy does its own beneficial work in healing and relaxing. Rolfing does not achieve perfection; it begins the process. Its goal is to establish balance in gravity. The ten-hour cycle is a first step in that direction. Rolfing is an ongoing process that continues long after the work has been completed. Bodies have natural liking for uprightness, comfort, and ease. Insofar as they can experience it, they try to live in a place of balance. In this place, the energy of gravity can flow with (not counter to) the energy of the individual.”
